Chief Montello, the Men and Women of the Boothwyn Pennsylvania Fire Department, I am a 61 year old bearded grandfather, who in his leisure time has become an avid "PATCH" collector. I would LOVE to add your "PATCH" to my collection. I would send you an attachment containing photos of parts of my collection, but you know what they say about attachments from unknown or unfamiliar sources (namely me). If you simply MUST see them, I will send you an Attachment (but only with your blessing) or you can send me your physical address and I will send along a photo or two. My most recent acquisitions were a Florida State Patrol, a Delaware River Port Authority, a San Antonio and a Wichita Falls, from Texas, a Princeton NJ and a Twin Falls Idaho. Just last month I received a Durham Police “PATCH” and a Complimentary Shoulder “PATCH” from Sergeant Bill Bailey over at the Emerald Isle North Carolina Police Department. I have “PATCHES” from Doylestown Township, Doylestown Borough, Bucks County Sheriff, Warwick, Warminster, Warrington, Northampton, Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton, Plumbsteadville, Perkasie, Hatfield, New Hope, Abington, Philadelphia, SEPTA, Cheltenham, Upper Moreland, Lower Moreland, Lower Salford, Upper Darby, Horsham, Reading, Hilltown, Tinicum Township, Towamencin, Dublin, Upper Dublin, New Britain Township, New Britain Borough, Ivyland, Buckingham, Bryn Athyn, Upper Makefield, Solebury and on and on… And just a couple of months ago I received a Complimentary Shoulder “PATCH” from Chief Jim Sabath over at the Tinicum Township Police Department and one from Chief Gary Hoover over at the Haverford Police Department. Even more recently I have received a couple of “PATCHES” from the North Penn Fire Company, a Complimentary Shoulder “PATCH” from Chief Freed over at the Upper Gwynedd Police Department, one from Chief John Scholly and Lt Jerry Gray over at Lower Gwynedd, two Different ones from Pennsylvania’s DARE Officer of the Year Officer Tim Boyle over at Franconia and over three hundred ‘trading cards’, a ‘business card’ and a “PATCH” from Chief Barry Hackert over at the North Wales Department. I would LOVE to hang yours among them. Please? If you have spare “PATCHES” would you be willing to send them along? Please rest assured that they will be treated with the Honor and Respect they so richly deserve. I also collect ‘trading cards’, if you have them, of you, your Officers and your equipment (especially your trucks, ladders, firsboats, rescue, EMT, off road and bush vehicles, marine units, dive team, your mascot or your helicopter). I usually ask an Officer for TWO Cards as my 9 (going on 20) year old granddaughter (whose other Grandfather was Chief of Police over in Ewing Township New Jersey, until his untimely passing) loves them and I give her a card, to play with, and keep one in a plastic page for her to inherit, once my time is up, too. Also, if you would, send along your ‘business card’ too, please. Even though it’s the 4th of March, I hope you, your family, all of your Crews, Staff and all their families had a Happy Holiday Season (no matter how each of you chose to celebrate it), a GREAT Valentine’s Day, President’s Day and will have a SAFE, Happy and Prosperous 2008.
