Police Chase Ends With Crash on Interstate 95

     

Thursday, February 16, 2012 Just before 9 p.m, Company 40 along with Medic 100C were dispatched to Interstate 95 SB just prior to Market Street for an Accident with Injuries. The Rescue, Ambulance, and 40-6A marked up in minutes and were advised this was the outcome of a Police Pursuit that started in the Ridley area.


Boothwyn units arrived with several vehicles involved and a large fuel spill. Crews split up and started checking on injuries as well as securing the vehicles and controlling the hazards. Companies 55 & 61 were added to the assignment to assist with containing the large fuel spill. 40-7 ended up transporting one subject to Crozer for evaluation.


The vehicles were removed and the scene was cleared in about an hour.
